MEN'S FASHION: DENIM+OMBRE

As promised, here's my first outfit post for Men's fashion with my friend Jay L of TV5, photographed and styled by yours truly ;)
It was for a shoot of TV5's station id, they were asked to wear something smart casual so I chose a denim button down shirt and paired it with ombre pants, I wanted him to look different from his usual boy next door style so I didn't put too much accessories on him and just added a hat to make him look more fun and youthful and let his good looks and outfit speak for itself.
It was actually my first time styling a guy friend and I must say that I had fun doing it. styling my friend Jay L wasn't that hard because of his height and charm that can make any outfit stand out so expect to see more of him here on my blog and more of Men's outfit post so stay tuned :)

NEON AND SPIKES
From a Bazaar Blazer and top | Oxygen necklace | Nava sunnies | Pill studded loafers
This is what I wore on our third day in Legaspi city, we went to different places and did lots of outdoor activities so I decided to wear something comfy yet eye catching. Remember when I said on my previous post that wearing neon colors can instantly make your casual outfits fun and fresh? Well, that's what I did here, I wore a neon blazer over my favorite tunic top and paired it with denim shorts, then I added statement accessories and wore my studded loafers from Pill footwear that added oomph into my look. I love how my neon blazer and studded shoes made this casual look more fun and edgy, It would look so boring without those two right? It's really all about styling your everyday outfits to make it look different and stylish.
What do you guys think about this look? More of neon colored outfits soon so stay tuned ;)

COSMIC CHIC

Here's another hot trend that's hard to ignore, the cosmic/galaxy print. A fun design that has taken over shirts, dresses, leggings and even shoes, it literally took fashion out of this world and celebrities, bloggers and fashion royalties are loving it.
I saw these prints on the runway last PHFW holiday 2012, It was part of the Oxygen holiday collection and I was so excited to have it inside my closet, So when it finally came out in their stores I didn't waste any time and bought this skirt and top. It was so nice I can't even decide which of these prints should I wear first, so I just wore them both.lol being the usual me I kept my accessories minimal and let these cosmic prints speak for this outfit, and to add an oomph into it I wore my Desiree wedges from Gold Dot which I love BTW. This cosmic print trend is a fun way to dress up this upcoming holiday season so go check out Oxygen's cosmic print collection and wear the galaxy with you.

NEON
Meet my new Gene flats from Gold Dot, another comfy and very fashyown pair of flats that will surely be overuse.lol :)

The neon color trend is one of the hot fashion trends this season, from bags, nails, hair, dresses and shoes, and everyone including myself is loving it, adding these eye popping colors into your everyday outfits can instantly make it look more fun and fresh.
In this outfit I made it more eye catching by pairing my neon striped shirt with printed leggings, I thought it would look too chaotic but it turned out perfectly fine, I kept my accessories minimal and wore flats to keep it more casual, the neon detail on my Gold Dot gene flats matched perfectly with my outfit and I loved it. The key in this outfit is to embrace colors and prints and feel good by working it out into your wardrobe, experimenting with colors and prints into your outfits can be fun, just try not to go overboard (or maybe that can work too.lol) and be confident in it.

CONFIDENCE

I wore this Oxygen see-through top and and my fave denim shorts last Saturday when me and my friends went out for shopping, since the top I was wearing was too revealing, I wore a cute printed cardigan over it, and opted for simple yet eye catching accessories that made this outfit perfect for daytime. I also wore a comfy pair of wedges that helped me keep up with all the walking we did that day. I actually got a lot of weird stares from people in the mall because of this outfit, but I didn't mind them, because like what Mary-Kate Olsen said "I'm not afraid of walking down the street in something that people think is crazy. What I can't stand is looking like everybody else." and I definitely agree with her, We dress up not to please other people but to please ourselves, so don't be afraid of what people might think. wear what you want to wear and be confident in it.

OMBRE VEES

Do you sometimes wish your closet can automatically style the clothes you'll wear everyday? especially on those days when you're too lazy to be so glamorous but still want to be stylish? Well I do experience that too and on those lazy days I always rely on my basic tees, not only because they make me feel comfortable the whole day, but they also are the easiest to style in many unique and fashionable ways. Like this ombre v neck tee I got from Oxygen last week, it can make any casual look more fun and exciting and I can think of numerous ways to style it, but last sunday I wanted it to look more of the casual "me" side so I just wore a cardigan over it with stripe detail that looks like a scarf, the color of it also matches the color of my new babies from Primadonna that I chose to wear to make my casual outfit more classy, and to top it off I wore a nice silver necklace and bangles that are also from Oxygen and wore silver rings too.
It was good having something so nice in my closet that I don't have to rack my brain on how to make it look so fun and fresh and I'm sure you guys can also think of ways on how to style this Oxygen vees, so be sure to visit their stores and stock up some of it in your closets. ;)
